From the Ground-Up: How collective action can affect social change'

We are delighted to bring back our Annual Key note Talk, and this year we bring you a fascination talk (with discussion after) about collective action - which is what we are trying to do here at Transition Wilmslow.

The talk will focus on how processes of social change can happen, not from the top down but from communities and local movements driven from the 'bottom-up'. We will explore how these processes emerge and look at examples of grassroots movements from around the globe and consider the implications these have for climate and environmental action. There will be lots of opportunities to discuss ideas and will hopefully provide interesting food for thought.
